The sales funnel has been an integral part of conventional marketing and business for ages not known. However lately it seems to me that the subject of using funnels to promote Internet business is popping up everywhere on the web.
It is clear that people are eager to learn more about this idea and the ways they can apply it in their online businesses marketing efforts. If you'd like to know something more about the sales funnel to help you with efficient Internet marketing I invite you to continue reading.
What is the Sales Funnel?
A marketing funnel isn't a funnel. This marketing concept uses the term "funnel" to describe the sales process from beginning to end. It has a broad entry point for potential customers known as "Unqualified Prospects" at the top, and a smaller opening for sales conversion at the bottom. This is a good comparability.

The "unqualified prospects" Also called people who are not competent, will be in the middle of the funnel. They might require your product or service but haven't been approached prior to. After a series of sales calls and offers later you've contacted customers who have purchased your product or services.
Another reason why the idea of a lead generation funnel is effective is that it makes it possible to track your prospects' actions throughout the expanded sales process. The sales funnel permits you to anticipate the amount of potential customers that will eventually become customers by calculating the qualified prospects at each step.
A sales funnel can help you see where your sales process fails or succeeds or if your marketing campaign is not getting enough prospects. This information will allow you to decide where to focus your efforts to help achieve your marketing goals. It is used to monitor and control the sales process of customers.
The Sales Funnel Top Front or End
The top of your sales funnel is going to be the most active part of your process and requires the most constant testing. There is no limit to your creativity or resources when it comes to front-end strategies.
The front-end's main objective will be to draw in prospective customers and turn those buyers into buyers further down the sales funnel.
Once a prospective client opts-in to your offering, they are "qualified". This is when in the sales funnel that the potential customer or "Unqualified Prospect" is a qualified lead due to an action that actually demonstrates that may have enough interest to buy your product or service.
Your front-end must be able drive targeted traffic to your website or blog. Article marketing, PPC ads, social media (Google+ Twitter, Facebook, YouTube), banners and blogging are the best ways and tools to accomplish this.
There are many methods to "qualify" one of them,"qualify" the "Unqualified Prospect". One of the best methods to determine the quality of prospects is by creating an online squeeze page. This allows you provide something valuable to your product that users can receive for free or at a substantially lower cost, in exchange for their name and email. The products offered vary from newsletters, video, e-mail courses, eBooks, related reports and more.
The front end of your sales funnel is the point where potential customers are attracted to you. What about the reverse-end of your sales funnel?
The Back-End, or Bottom of The Funnel
The back-end (or bottom) of your sales channel is where the bulk of sales and profits occur. This area usually includes your most expensive products. They all belong to the same niche however in different formats like audio, video or live interactions.
The primary difference between the front-end service and the back end is the type or price of the client.
While it's true that only 1-2 percent of the people who access the front end will be able access your back-end, this small percentage may not matter. This is fine, given the fact that this particular small percentage will invest a much larger amount of money.
You see, that although front-end products and services can cost under $100, back-end products and services are typically priced in the 100s or 1000's. This implies that the bottom of the sales channel, also known as the back-end is the primary source of revenue.
As I said earlier, the sales funnel can be as simple or complicated as your creativity or resources allow.
